WHY AREN’T SOUND MEASUREMENTS LISTED ?
We decided to remove the DB figures from the catalog because this industry's credibility on this issue has become a joke. Putting honest sound levels in print, as we've done for 10 years as Gemtech, and years prior as the original AWC, does nothing but set the company up for someone unscrupulous to use our numbers as a starting point for their fabrications. AWC doesn't put dB figures in their catalog, because there's no reason pinning yourself down to an honest result when less scrupulous or less equipped/educated manufacturers simply fabricate data to say they are 1dB quieter. Someone will just believe it because it was printed or appeared on the internet.
Gemtech has available testing facilities that permit accurate MIL-STD-1474D data collection, and copies of the data sheets are available to authorized personnel. Gemtech also provides confidential testing for competitors in the industry. Competitive testing is available with supplied product.
